Thursday 18th June - Friday 19th June 2026, RSM, London
Abstract Categories
Successful abstracts will be eligible for either poster or oral presentation.
There will be three categories this year:
- Case report
- Audit and Quality Improvement
- Research
Prizes
The top three submissions in each category will be invited to give an oral presentation on the morning of Friday 19th June 2026.
A prize of £125 will be given to the winner of each category, as well as a prize for best poster.
Publication
Top scoring audit and research abstracts will be published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia.
Also, all meeting abstracts chosen for either oral or poster presentation will be published within the electronic meeting booklet which will be made available to all registered delegates.
Topics
Suggested topics, which may be related to either adult or paediatric practice, include:
- Cardiac anaesthesia, surgery and peri-operative care
- Thoracic anaesthesia, surgery and peri-operative care
- Cardiothoracic critical care
- Congenital heart disease
- Perfusion
- Clinical governance, quality improvement and education
- Management of cardiorespiratory arrest
Abstract submission dates
Submission deadline: Friday 24th April 2026
Submission notification date: Monday 11th May 2026
