On Wednesday 17th June, prior to the ASM, ACTACC will be running two half day satellite events at 41 Portland Place, London:

-Morning Session: WiCTa: Supporting Women in CT Anaesthesia and CICU

-Afternoon Session: ECHO Masterclass: A Series of Interesting Cases

These can be booked as part of this registration form (Note. all three meetings can be booked individually). 

 

The ACTACC Annual Scientific Meeting

The 2026 ACTACC ASM is taking place at 1 Wimpole Street within the RSM, London on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th June 2026. The theme is 'Exploring the Frontiers of Cardiac Anaesthesia: Innovation, Education & Outcomes' and we are very much looking forward to welcoming to London.

Workshops - Thursday 18th June

Workshops will run in parallel to industry sponsored breakfast sessions. Please check the Programme for further information and to check for schedule clashes. 

There are three workshops available to book: 

TOE for Mitral Valve Repair

This hands-on workshop focuses on the essential role of echocardiography in guiding mitral valve repair. Participants will gain practical skills in preoperative assessment, intra-operative imaging, and post-operative evaluation through interactive case discussion and live demonstrations. The session will emphasise image acquisition, interpretation, and decision-making to optimise surgical outcomes.

Regional Anaesthesia for Thoracic Surgery Workshop

A practical demonstration of regional techniques with an opportunity for hands-on experience with a manikin. 

Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS)

Designed for clinicians managing acute circulatory and respiratory failure. This hands-on workshop provides a rare opportunity to practise ECMO cannulation using expert-led simulation and real-world scenarios. Participants will develop confidence in ECMO initiation, troubleshooting, and emergency management, with additional consideration of Impella and LVAD support.
