ACTACC Webinar from
The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, Basildon University Hospital

Basildon is a purpose built centre which includes a 16 bed Critical Care Unit, 4 Cath Labs, 1 hybrid and 3 Cardiothoracic theatres. As such we will present data from all these areas demonstrating the work undertaken by our dedicated anaesthetic group.

Topics will cover our approach to the resource consuming issue of OHCA using neuroprognostication. There will be detailed and practical work show-casing the use of Remimazolam in the Cath Lab. From the Thoracic theatre we will demonstrate whether it has been useful having Double Lumen tubes fitted with a camera to guide accurate placement. Along with many other centres we are implementing ERAS. Data obtained using BIS will be presented to see if this aids early recovery and change practice regarding post-op sedation and analgesia.

This webinar is accredited for 2 CPD points and will be allocated to attendees.

If you are registering with an NHS email we would advise you input an additional email to avoid our communications being redirected to your junk inbox, this can sometimes occur due to the NHS fire wall.
