BADS Annual Conference 2025 - Registration

 

 

The British Association of Day Surgery is very pleased to announce the opening of registration for the BADS Annual Conference 2025 which will take place at University Place, Manchester on 19th and 20th June.

 

This year’s conference with include sessions on sustainability, robotics, surgical safety, local anaesthetic techniques, safe sedation and human factors in surgery. Workshop sessions will be held on simulation training in regional anaesthesia, fostering psychological safety in the workplace, and complex day case surgery. Kenote lectures will be given by past BADS Presidents. The conference will also feature the ever-popular free paper sessions and the opportunity to showcase your work in the poster competition.

 

The first day will finish with an evening networking drinks reception at the conference venue.

Please express your interest below.  Please note BADS is required to charge a small fee to meet conference vetting system requirements.  It will therefore be £5 to attend.

EMD code of conduct

EMD is focused on creating quality events within safe and respectful environments for all attendees to share knowledge, express their thoughts and opinions and network.  Our code of conduct requires all attendees, stakeholders and exhibitors to act in a manner that is respectful of all people in a public environment, be it gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, race or religion. 

 

We insist that speakers’ presentations and content offered in the various formats within the event be respectful and devoid of content/images of a sexual or discriminatory nature.

 

The code of conduct also refers to:

  • Unwanted or inappropriate approaches of a sexual nature
  • Aggressive behaviour toward any EMD staff or other delegates
  • Offensive comments, questions or posts made on event engagement technology, or in-person during question and answer sessions
  • Rude or unnecessary comments on online media platforms

 

All attendees are reminded to act in a responsible manner in regard to alcohol consumption and be respectful of the environment and those around them who do not consume alcohol.

 

Any children in attendance at the event are the sole responsibility of the parent or carer.

 

Any attendee that is deemed to be violating the code of conduct may be asked to leave the event without refund, at the discretion of the Organiser/Society.

Payment

To complete your registration for the BADS please click below to pay by credit or debit card followed by proceed to checkout and you will be redirected to the payment gateway to enter your card details.

If you have any problems please contact the events team at enquiries@eventmanagmentdirect.co.uk. 

If you require an invoice for your organisation to pay on your behalf you will need to complete the invoice request form attached to your confirmation email, your booking will not be confirmed until this has been received.  Please note that on Friday 6th June 2025 the invoice option will no longer be available.

BADS is a mutual society, existing for the benefit of its members.  We therefore pay corporation tax on any income from non-members. In order to cover this additional burden, the registration fees for non-members are higher than for members. Please note that you can become a member of the society before registration to keep costs down just visit our website www.bads.co.uk .

Cancellation requests must be made in writing to enquiries@eventmanagementdirect.co.uk and will be subject to a PayPal administration charge which will be approximately 3.5% of the total amount paid. No refunds will be offered after 23rd May 2025.
