The British Association of Day Surgery is very pleased to announce the opening of registration for the BADS Annual Conference 2025 which will take place at University Place, Manchester on 19^th and 20^th June.

This year’s conference with include sessions on sustainability, robotics, surgical safety, local anaesthetic techniques, safe sedation and human factors in surgery. Workshop sessions will be held on simulation training in regional anaesthesia, fostering psychological safety in the workplace, and complex day case surgery. Kenote lectures will be given by past BADS Presidents. The conference will also feature the ever-popular free paper sessions and the opportunity to showcase your work in the poster competition.

The first day will finish with an evening networking drinks reception at the conference venue.

After a day of learning, listening and focusing, we know you like to network and relax amongst your colleagues and peers. What a better way to do this than joining us for our presidents drinks reception.

Please express your interest below.  Please note BADS is required to charge a small fee to meet conference vetting system requirements.  It will therefore be £5 to attend.  

Bear in mind that if you tick that you would like to attend, you will be counted in our final numbers.  Therefore, please let us know if you decide you would no longer like to attend.

We insist that speakers’ presentations and content offered in the various formats within the event be respectful and devoid of content/images of a sexual or discriminatory nature.

The code of conduct also refers to:

• Unwanted or inappropriate approaches of a sexual nature
• Aggressive behaviour toward any EMD staff or other delegates
• Offensive comments, questions or posts made on event engagement technology, or in-person during question and answer sessions
• Rude or unnecessary comments on online media platforms

All attendees are reminded to act in a responsible manner in regard to alcohol consumption and be respectful of the environment and those around them who do not consume alcohol.

Any children in attendance at the event are the sole responsibility of the parent or carer.

Any attendee that is deemed to be violating the code of conduct may be asked to leave the event without refund, at the discretion of the Organiser/Society.
