NACCS Annual Conference 2024 Registration

NACCS is pleased to report that registration is now open for the 2024 ASM which is to be held at The Hilton Hotel in Newcastle on 2nd & 3rd May.

As in recent years we offer a program devised to attach the anaesthetist and intensivist who works with neurological disease and neuro trauma.

The program has been developed to facilitate those in training who wish to pursue a career in these sub specialties .

We welcome abstract submissions , and selected contributors will be eligible for the generous prizes and opportunity to have their abstract published in the Journal of Neuroanaesthesiology.

 

We look forward to you joining us in May.

The expansion of Stroke thrombectomy is increasing the number of locations that are required to provide the service and indeed the number that each unit will be caring for. Historically, stroke thrombectomy anaesthesia has been an “add-on” to previous services, but now the demand is producing knock on effects for other services and increasing workload and possibly demanding additional rotas to be formulated.

NACCS wants to learn how stroke thrombectomy services are managed in hospitals, and to learn what successes and difficulties have been experienced. We would therefore like to invite delegates interested in this area to join Dr Beccy Campbell and members of the NACCS council for a working lunch to discuss the issue.

As with recent meetings, we would invite the department link doctors to meet up with members of the NACCS council over lunch to both listen to issues from departments and members and also to share ideas and aspirations of the society. This year we are especially keen to identify how best to engage with the link doctors and how the society can grow membership. NACCS is very aware that Trusts are eager to reduce SPA time and pay allocation and hence there are increasing pressures on our members performing their role. We want to know how NACCS can support the role of link doctor in the SPA arena.

This will be on a first come first serve basis.

Please note this will be self funded (not paid by the NACCS council).

All attendees are reminded to act in a responsible manner in regard to alcohol consumption and be respectful of the environment and those around them who do not consume alcohol.

 

Any children in attendance at the event are the sole responsibility of the parent or carer.

 

Any attendee that is deemed to be violating the code of conduct may be asked to leave the event without refund, at the discretion of the Organiser/Society.
